Sebastian Schmieg

In his lecture Sebastian Schmieg will talk about his artistic practice and research, focusing in particular on networked labor, outsourcing, and algorithmic management. Aiming to offer a different vocabulary for speaking about artificial intelligence, he will also introduce the concepts of “humans as software extensions” as well as “laborious intelligence”.
Sebastian Schmieg is an artist working in a wide range of media such as video, website, installation, artist book, software, lecture performance, and delivery service. He lives in Berlin and is a professor at HTW Dresden.
